Dr. Zhao Hongshi's' Chinese Dream '
On July 3, 2014, our company dispatched Dr. Zhao Hongshi to be interviewed by Yuhang News. Considering Dr. Zhao's appearance abroad, the interview was conducted through video mode. During the interview, Dr. Zhao answered each question from the reporter and stated that one day he would return to China after completing his studies and make the greatest contribution to the company and the motherland.
The interview with Dr. Zhao Hongshi was conducted at 1 pm Beijing time, which was 6 am German time due to a 7-hour time difference. In order to develop new products for the company, Dr. Zhao was once again sent to Germany to "charge" last month. Technological innovation opens up prospects
Zhao Hongshi, 32 years old, graduated from Shandong University with a PhD in Crystal Materials. He currently works at Zhejiang Xingyue Biotechnology Co., Ltd., engaged in the research and development of new biomedical materials.
Xingyue Biotechnology "is one of the first selected enterprises to settle in the Zhejiang Overseas High tech Talent Innovation Park. It is a low-carbon high-tech enterprise that develops a series of products related to cell therapy, medical biomaterials, and tissue engineering, jointly built by high-level overseas returnees and China Xingyue Group.
Since joining the company, Zhao Hongshi has always adhered to the principle of "uniting colleagues, studying seriously, and working solidly", constantly improving his own abilities in his work. He works diligently and wholeheartedly to serve the company.
Zhao Hongshi was selected for the "Thousand Talents Plan" in Yuhang District in 2013. His research and development of collagen striking bone cartilage three-layer composite and its preparation method, as well as silk protein based integrated bone cartilage bilayer scaffold and its preparation and application technology, have obtained multiple patents.
Zhao Hongshi's study trip to Germany this time is to prepare for another "upgrade" of the company's current organizational engineering. Why did you initially think of developing such products? Zhao Hongshi said, "When I first saw that many people in my village were affected by arthritis and had to face the invasion of pain, the cost of replacing joints was high, and many people could not afford to replace joints and could only endure. In our lives, various factors such as diseases, trauma, aging, or genetics can cause tissue and organ defects or functional disorders. In order to reduce pain and make life more convenient for everyone, upgrading tissue engineering is an urgent matter
R&D faces setbacks and challenges head-on
Last November, our products from Xingyue Biotechnology went abroad for the first time. This was a great event for the entire company and a source of pride for all our R&D personnel. When it comes to the company's first export of its R&D products to Singapore, Zhao Hongshi is very excited. He said that this batch of orders placed by Singapore was the first international sales of the company since its establishment. As it was a cross-border cooperation, no one had such experience before, so they encountered many difficulties at the beginning. However, through the joint efforts of colleagues in the company's departments, the difficulties were overcome one by one, and the cross-border docking was very successful. Just last month, before Zhao Hongshi went to Germany to study, the company received another order from Switzerland. Zhao Hongshi excitedly said that as a researcher, the happiest thing is that the products developed by oneself can enter the market and be fully recognized.
Of course, difficulties will always come unexpectedly in research and development work. In the process of developing products, there are also many confusions. Zhao Hongshi said that at the beginning, the indicators on a freeze dryer equipment always showed errors for two or three months, which greatly affected the progress of product development. Everyone checked for a long time but could not solve the problem. At that time, he carefully inspected the machine over and over again and finally found the cause. He immediately worked overtime to write a plan for replacing and rectifying machine parts. The confusion that had been lingering in my heart for months has been resolved, and a sense of achievement has emerged.
Being abroad and caring about the motherland
In early 2012, in order to accumulate intelligence for the company's research and development work, Zhao Hongshi was sent by the company to conduct research at the University of W ü rzburg in Germany. When I was in Germany, I missed my motherland very much and had a strong sense of patriotism. I wanted to bring glory to our motherland, "Zhao Hongshi said.
In the eyes of colleagues in the company, Zhao Hongshi is a "good person" with a rigorous and serious work attitude. He always tries his best to help those around him, whether in work or life, when they encounter difficulties. This is still the case in the company and during research abroad. When he was in Germany, it was particularly difficult to rent a house around the school. Zhao Hongshi went through many twists and turns to rent a simple three bedroom apartment, but seeing that some Chinese students who had just arrived in Germany could not find suitable housing in a timely manner, he gave up some rooms for them to live temporarily for free. During festivals, Zhao Hongshi organizes Chinese international students to gather at home, allowing these foreign students to feel the warmth of home. In Germany, he also took the lead in establishing the "Viborg Baby" QQ group, often carrying out activities to enrich everyone's lives.
Due to Zhao Hongshi's outstanding performance during his time in Germany, at the end of his research, professors at the University of W ü rzburg tried to persuade him several times to stay in Germany for research and to apply for permanent residency in Germany for him and his family. But Zhao Hongshi, who cared about his motherland, ultimately politely declined and returned to his country. He said that China is the big stage for realizing its own value.
This time, going to Germany for further studies again, Zhao Hongshi said that there are too many things to learn. He looks forward to bringing back the fruits of his dreams in the company's new product development when he returns from studying in May next year.
