      Founded in 2010, Zhejiang Xingyue Biotechnology Co., Ltd. is a national high-tech enterprise jointly established by a team of overseas returnee doctors and China Xingyue Group. Located in Hangzhou Future Science and Technology City (one of the four major future science and technology cities in China), the company aims to integrate Chinese civilization (silk materials) with regenerative technology (regenerative medicine) to develop new production capabilities for "medical silk fibroin materials" with high quality. Its mission is to benefit human health, promote medical development, assist rural revitalization, and achieve common prosperity.

       After 15 years of development, Xingyue Biotech has become a pioneer in the path of medical silk materials, a supporter of the industry, an academic leader, and a mutual aid partner for peers.

       As a pioneer in the field, the company took the lead in establishing a medical silk raw material base in 2011, achieving controllability of silk raw materials throughout the entire process from mulberry planting, breeding, sericulture, and silk extraction. It independently designed, processed, and constructed a production line for medical silk raw materials, enabling large-scale production of high-purity and fast-dissolving silk fibroin. The company has completed the development of silk fibroin Class III medical device products, achieving a breakthrough in the application of silk fibroin in the high-end medical field.

       As a driving force in the industry, our company has taken the lead in or participated in drafting multiple industry standards, group standards, and international standards. With over a decade of continuous dedication, we have gradually established a standardized system for silk medical materials from scratch, laying a solid foundation for the standardized and orderly development of the industry.

       As pioneers in academia, our team has published a series of high-quality academic papers centered around the application of silk materials in the field of human tissue repair. These papers demonstrate the regenerative and repair functions of silk fibroin in tissues such as skin, bone, cartilage, and tendon/ligament, as well as its mechanism of action. This lays a solid theoretical and practical foundation for its clinical application.

        As a mutual aid provider for peers, the company actively assists peer enterprises in promoting product launches through various means, such as its own product research and development, industrial transformation experience, standard output, and regulatory communication, to jointly build a healthy and collaborative industry ecosystem.

Zhejiang Provincial Key Enterprise Research Institute for Medical Materials and Tissue Engineering

    The Zhejiang Provincial Key Research Institute of Medical Materials and Tissue Engineering was established in October 2012, in accordance with the requirements of the "Several Opinions of the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government on Accelerating the Transformation from a Major to a Strong Province in Pharmaceutical Industry". Relying on Zhejiang Xingyue Biotechnology Co., Ltd., the institute focuses on promoting the integration of regenerative medicine, tissue engineering, and biotechnology, facilitating the research, development, and industrialization of new high-biocompatibility medical materials, creating tissue engineering repair materials such as bones, cartilage, and tendons with independent intellectual property rights, achieving import substitution of medical device products, and reducing the high medical material costs for domestic patients.

    Currently, the research institute boasts 1,500 square meters of research space and a team of high-end R&D talents with international expertise, led by returnee Ph.D. holders and Ph.D. holders from the State Key Laboratory. It stands as one of the major forces in the domestic industry. The institute has taken the lead in successfully establishing an innovative system for the production, education, research, and application of "medical materials and tissue engineering technology" in this field. It has successfully realized the entire process of industrialization for a medical material product and pioneered the establishment of a clinical transformation demonstration for new tissue engineering medical technologies in China. The institute also maintains practical international collaborations with the strongest research centers in this field from four countries: the United States (America), the United Kingdom (Europe), Australia (Australia), and Singapore (Asia).

Zhejiang Provincial Key Laboratory of Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine Technology

       In November 2011, led by Zhejiang University and in collaboration with Zhejiang Sports Hospital and Zhejiang Xingyue Biotechnology Co., Ltd., the project was approved as the Zhejiang Provincial Key Laboratory of Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine Technology, becoming a provincial key laboratory in this field in Zhejiang Province.

      The Zhejiang Provincial Key Laboratory of Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine Technology is a tissue engineering platform with a complete translational system encompassing basic research, technology development, preclinical research, and clinical application research. As the platform and core for the development of human tissue engineering in our province, it leads the development of regenerative medicine products and technologies such as medical biomaterials and cells, promotes the emergence and development of the regenerative medicine industry in our province, and provides a new focus for the technological and economic transformation of our province. It holds significant strategic importance for the biomedical economic transformation of Zhejiang Province, laying a solid foundation and serving as a benchmark for the emergence and development of emerging regenerative medicine strategic industries in our province.

      Relying on the profound academic and translational foundation of the provincial key laboratory, the research team led by Zhejiang University successfully obtained funding from the National 863 Program for the "Key Technologies and Series Products Development Project of Tissue Engineering" in March 2012, with Zhejiang Xingyue Biotechnology Co., Ltd. as one of the project undertakers.

Hangzhou Academician Expert Workstation

       Zhejiang Xingyue Biotechnology Co., Ltd. was recognized as a "Hangzhou Academician Expert Workstation" in November 2011. This workstation is led by a CAS Member and leads an innovative team to advance our company's research and development projects.

       The establishment of the academician workstation aims to introduce, digest, and absorb the scientific research achievements of innovative teams led by academicians. It establishes a smooth talent and intellectual exchange channel between enterprises, universities, and research institutes, promoting the integration of industry, academia, and research. This facilitates more direct transformation of research outcomes, creating well-known brands with independent intellectual property rights. It is conducive to the smooth and in-depth development of cooperative projects and drives comprehensive improvements in the company's overall scientific research awareness, innovation capability, and research level.
